Description:
A rare and very hard to find original poster from the US Cartridge Co. The poster retains its original top and bottom metal bands and the small loop hanger on the top band. I layed this poster down on glass so i could photograph it. The poster is fragile and will need some restoration by a professional conservator, but the majority of it is all there. I think leaving it as found is the best policy and let the new owner have it conserved by their choice. An older gentleman is pictured aiming a 22 rifle with the US Cartridge boxes in the foreground. Excellent vibrant colors remain throughout. This poster i would assume is from the late teens or early 1920's as Winchester acquired US Cartridge Co. in 1927. Measures appox. 19 3/4 inches wide and about 30 inches tall. The only marking i can see is in the left bottom corner "Lithographed in U.S.A." Not sure who the artist was. A rare and desirable US Cartridge Co. poster for the advanced 22 Cartridge box collector. Shipped in a tube USPS priority for 22.00
