This Springfield Garand was mfg. about 7/1942 and is correct according to the Scott Duff
"Red Book". This for those who are new to the "Garand Collector's Assoc." is considered the bible for all of the correct history and parts inf about the wonderfull world of "Garands". The gun metal is all of the correct parkerizing and consistant shade throughout.
