Description:
32 inch medium weight round barrel marked "A W Peterson Boulder Colorado". Caliber 38-55. Fine bore. Wood has some dings and mars but generally very good with good checkering and shotgun style butt. Marked on the receiver is "Ballard A1" with light scroll engraving on both sides. It is believed Nimschke engraved the A1 Ballards in the long ranges. It looks non typical for him but I do believe it was Nimschke that did it. Barrel retains 90% blue with some spots of light pitting. Receiver is mostly a gunmetal grey patina some scattered light roughness. It has a double loop type trigger with double triggers also by Peterson. Should make a good shooter. Gun has no sights. Dovetail front and rear. Fitted with scope blocks but no scope present. A fine little gun.
