.38 cal, NVSN, 35 3/4 inch octagon barrel, maple stock, brass trigger guard, butt plate, cap box, nose cap and ram rod thimbles, double set triggers, original lock marked "Joseph Manton/Warrented", top flat of barrel marked "Henry", original stamp behind trigger guard "US" with U largely worn away,
Barrel retains original sights and has a mottled brown/silver appearance with traces of original blue, brass componants show an untouched patina, stock has numerous handling marks, bore retains sharp rifling with small areas of oxidation, mechanically excellent.
