Iver Johnson Skeet-er 20 Gauge
My retired Oil and Insurance man has offered this Iver Johnson’s Arms and Cycle Works Skeet-er in 20 gauge bearing serial # 2444E. Ejectors function perfectly, 26-inch barrels are in excellent condition with bright and clean un-pitted bores. Muzzles measure .612 for the left, .606 for the right, bottom of barrel lug marked O on left side C on right. White porcelain surrounded brass bead front sight. Butt stock LOP from front trigger to the Whiteline Pachmeyer recoil pad is 14 5/8 inches. Fore end is beaver tail style, butt stock is capped with original Iver Johnson pistol grip cap. Both pieces of wood have very attractive figure and few light handling marls. But no major defects or other issues to concern oneself with. The blue finish is mostly gone on trigger guard and has worn on the edges and the primary carry point, but still very strong on the barrels. I’d call it 85% remaining overall. This is a very nice American piece and judging the quality fit and finish is quite the shame that Iver Johnson did not remain stronger in the firearms industry.
