Fine C&R Iver Johnson HAMMERLESS .32 S&W Revolver
Excellently Preserved Early 20th Century Pocket Revolver
Here we present an Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Double Action Hammerless Revolver, made circa the early 20th Century in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Iver Johnson & Martin Bye both cut their teeth with Ethan Allen, then started their own company in 1871. The company continued to operate until 1993. This revolver was designed to be small and concealable for self-defense.
This short barreled revolver is chambered for 5 shots of .32 S&W and features a hammerless design, prime for pocket carry in the 1920s. The left side of the barrel is marked “IVER JOHNSON ARMS & CYCLE WORKS/FITCHBURG, MASS. U.S.A.” The grips bear an owl on each side.
The overall condition is very fine. The original nickel finish is 90%+. The original blue on the trigger guard is 30%. The markings are clear and legible. The hard rubber grips are fine, with just a chip out of the bottom of the right panel. The bore is sharp and clean. The action is excellent. Here is a very nice little revolver from the era of the Roaring Twenties!
