For Shipping Please ask Payment Types Accepted: good check, Description: This is a rare example of a Lower rifle from the early 1850's prior to moving to Denver. .40 cal, NVSN, 36 1/2 inch octagon barrel, maple stock, brass trigger guard, butt plate, toe plate, cap box, nose cap and ramrod thimbles, double set triggers. Condition: bore retains excellent rifling with spots of oxidation, top barrel flat is stamped "Lower Philadelphia" and shows a star after the name and before/after the barrel sight, toe plate shows period repair, percussion drum and nipple are replacements, barrel is mottled brown with thinning areas showing silver, lock is not marked and show scattered pitting overall, stock has scattered handling marks, brass components are light mustard color, mechanically very good.
