For Best Results Always Call First. This Colt is on the New Army and Navy Double Action frame. This Colt was produced in 1905. The Pistol's serial number is 255454. All the parts are correctly serial numbered or assembly numbered to this Colt. This pistol is the beginnings of the famed Officers Model Target series of revolvers. The pistol is the flat top style with the rear ajustable target sight. The front sight is ajustable for elevation. The target barrel is a 6 inch as standard. The action is polished and very smooth. The lockup works and times correctly. The hand checkered grips are serial numbered to the pistol. These grips are in very fine condition with all the varnish intact and the diamond points sharp. The nitre blued parts are very strong with hardly any fading. The charcoal blued finish is really strong with the high polished surface. The nitre blued finish and charcoal finish would rate a strong +97% condition. The bore and chambers are bright and clean with no pitting or damage to the lands. This is a really stunning condition Officers Model pistol! This is one of the earliest Colts to be chambered for the then new 38 S & W Special cartridge.
