QUALITY CONSINGMENTS WANTED! This Winchester was on of the last 1890's produced. It was produced in 1941. The serial number is 843461. It is chambered for the seldom seen 22 Long Rifle. These model 1890's were chambered for the one cartridge. You could not mix the various 22's such as Short, Long And Long Rifle together such as was available in the latter model pumps by Winchester. For the 1890, The 22 Long rifle came out in 1919. The 1890 was stopped production in 1941. This rifle is all original with no alterations or add on installed. The bore is bright and sharp. The sights are original. The Marble's tang sight is the correct style for this rifle. It also has the detachable disc for changing openings and styles. The stock and forend have their original varnish. There are no cracks or chips. The wood would rate a 98% condition. The steel butt plate has most of the original blue intact. The receiver also has most of the blue intact and would rate a 94% condition. The under belly of the receiver is where the most blue loss is due to carry. The barrel blue would rate a 96% condition with some spotting by the front sight area. This is a really fine condition 22 in a very hard to get chambering. This rifle would make a 22 collector envious to own! This is one of the nicest 1890's in the standard grade I have seen in many years! VISIT MY HLVFINEGUNS
