This is a like new Colt 1911A1. It is U.S. Army-marked and was Springfield Armory with National Match military parts. It features a .45 Auto National Match barrel with National stock numbers. It is equipped with Triangle-manufactured, National Match, fully-adjustable rear sights. The frame is marked "NM". The bushing is both marked "NM" and has a stock number. The bore is mirror bright with strong rifling.
This is an excellent example of a US GI National Match 1911 A1 with a 1942 vintage Colt receiver and slide. It was converted to National Match by Springfield Armory (and marked so). The slide is marked with a "P" firing proof, as well as the last 4 digits of the serial numbers. The frame is marked "United States Property" with two "T" inspector proofs and an "NM" on the right side of the trigger guard bow. The front strap is checkered.
