Description:
30-40 Krag; 90% blue, very good bore, very good stock, 22'' barrel, An 1898 carbine/rifle arsenal upgraded to an M1899 pattern carbine, no saddle ring/bar. Arsenal refurbished blue metal finish, mounted in the original walnut stock and handguard. 1900 dated cartouche on the left side of the stock, script P firing proof on the bottom of the grip. 1896 pattern rear sight graduated to 1800 yards, no "C" markng on the leaf. The metal finish has mixed with patina and has some scattered handling marks. There is some old paint splatter on the left side and toe of the stock and a small amount in the left side of the receiver, and a spot on the handguard. Mechanically fine. The bore has shine, strong rifling and a tight muzzle, showing light frost throughout.
