Gorgeous Condition Nickel, Blue & Case Colored “Lemon Squeezer”
Here we present an antique Smith & Wesson .32 S&W Safety Hammerless Revolver, made circa 1907 in Springfield, Massachusetts. These were also known as the “New Departure” or the “Lemon Squeezer”, the latter due to the safety bar in the backstrap. This little revolver holds 5 shots of .32 S&W. It was designed to meet the defensive needs of citizens and law enforcement in the late 19th Century. This is a top break design with an automatic ejector, hammerless design and grip safety. These features made it great for pocket carry.
The overall condition is excellent. The original nickel finish is near perfect. The original blue on the barrel latch and the trigger guard is virtually complete. The case colors are bright on the trigger. The markings are clear and legible. The grips are very fine. The bore is sharp and shiny. The action is excellent. Here is a killer nickel Smith & Wesson!
