Description:
Serial #27720, 7.63mm (.30 Mauser), 5 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a splendid pistol that has all matching numbers and retains 95-97% of the original Mauser blue finish that has some mild silvering at the muzzle as well as along a few of the projecting edges and surfaces. The muzzle also has some mild spots of freckling as well as a handful of very minor specks on either side of the flatside frame. The bolt and large ring hammer have retained their original dull gray finish. The safety and rear sight slider retain most of their original bright fire blue while the extractor retains about 50% and the balance turned bright. The trigger has a about 70-80% of the original straw color remaining as well. The 23 groove walnut grips are numbered to the gun on the interior and are likewise in excellent shape with only some minor handling marks and surface blemishes marring the otherwise excellent original varnish finish. The action is tight and the pistol functions flawlessly. This is an exceptional example of a rare Flatside Broomhandle that retains a high degree of original finish and would make a stellar addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
