Scarce ANTIQUE Winchester 1892 CARBINE in .32
32 WCF Saddle Ring Carbine Made in 1896
Here we present an antique Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Carbine, made in 1896 in New Haven, Connecticut. Production lasted from 1892-1941 with over a million produced. Relatively few of that number were produced prior to 1899, the date set by the ATF that designates whether a firearm is considered an “antique” or not. The particular purpose in creating the Model 1892 was to replace the Model 1873, therefore it was chambered primarily for the same cartridges, the 32-20, 38-40 and 44-40. The receiver was a scaled down version of the Model 1886.
Overall condition is very good. Metal is dark with age. Markings are clear and legible. The stock is near fine. The bore has strong rifling and is shiny. The action is excellent. Here is a hard to come by little 1892 Carbine!
