Savage Model 1920 300 Savage
Very nice early Savage Bolt Action Rifle in 300 Savage. Rifle bears serial # 5085. The barrel is 24 inches long and has excellent rifling. The receiver has provision for a stripper clip and has NOT been drilled or tapped for a scope mount. Fine brass bead atop the muzzle and a Marbles buckhorn rear sight adjustable for elevation. Walnut stock has the usual dings and such appropriate for age, no chips or cracks. The Schnabel style stock has an attractive and well executed checkering. An aftermarket pad has been added, present LOP is 13 inches. Tang safety and the striker has provision to be cocked without operation of the bolt. Rifles original bluing is in great condition. Wear at the edges and on the floor plate. This rifle was made 1920-1931.
