90% bright blue, British modified with target sights and grips. Bluing loss on muzzle, leading edges of cylinder and an area on left side of frame. Serial # 906763, pre "V" serial number range. Matching numbers: Frame & cylinder. All markings are sharp and clear, including Birmingham Arsenal proofs, and S & W marks. S & W letter (included) confirms barrel length (5 ") 38 S & W cal. and shipping to England during WWII (1942) on the "Lend lease program".The post war modification included bluing, target sights, grips, and removal of butt swivel. The action is fine and extraordinarlly tight. Bore and cylinder charmbers are bright and shiny. Nice historical Smith & Wesson in excellent target shooting condition. Ask questions.
