Description:
This is a new old stock, USGI Walnut, WW2 or Post WW2 era M1 Garand stock. The stock is a Springfield Armory shape, but no markings present. This stock came out of a late collector's estate and purchased by me for an M1 project that isn't going to go foward. Has a few dings, dents and scratches after being moved around for 50 years.
Would be great for a NM build, or just a non-bedded service grade rifle. Straight grain, with some faint striping. This is old growth black walnut, not the current flimsy Boyd's style wood.
