Description:
Excellent quality German Jaeger Rifle by Ulrich Roos und Sohn. Approximately 44" long with 27.25" heavy octagonal barrel in incredible-looking Belgian Damascus Steel with bar bayonet attachment on the right side of the barrel. Nice, clean 52 caliber bore, double set triggers with good action & a unique hammer block safety. Finely checkered European walnut half stock with cheek-piece, sliding cover patch box and engraved steel buttplate. Stock has a chip on right forearm, scattered lite scratches, a fine crack below lock on the right side and forward and aft of trigger guard on the left side. Top of barrel is inlaid in gold with maker's name ''Ulrich Roos Und Sohn in Stuttgart'' and silver platina scroll inlays on each side. Barrel stamped with Belgian "Liege" trademark & “Crown” over V London proof mark. Original ramrod is capped with brass on one end and polished bone or antler on the other. Wrist of stock shows possible evidence of removed rear tang site. Overall condition is Excellent.
