The barrel features dual bead sights on the matte vent possibly factory post vent rib, 2 3/4 inch chamber, and a modified choke. The upper left of the barrel near the breech is marked "WINCHESTER/TRADE MARK/MADE IN U.S.A. "followed by "--MODEL 12 - 20 GA - 2 3/4 CHAM./---WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL--/MOD". There is a 1 1/4 inch wedge of floral scroll engraving on the each side of the barrel at the breech, and the Winchester oval proof is marked on the upper left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The receiver is engraved with two hunting dogs and a quail in a wooded scene on the left side and four ducks in a marsh scene on the right side. The scenes are flanked with floral scroll patterns. The trigger guard and takedown ring have light floral scroll patterns. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver and on the magazine tube. There is a pigeon engraved on the magazine tube also. Jeweled bolt and follower, and mounted with a nicely figured diamond design checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a Winchester grip cap and checkered Winchester buttplate. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 1 1/2 inches; length of pull 14 inches. Serial number 1579844 Barrel 28 Inch Vent Rib Finish of the barrel: Blue Stock: Walnut Class: Curio & Relic Long Gun Condition Very fine as refurbished with 97% blue finish remaining showing some very minor pitting under the finish on the barrel, receiver and on the forearm slide bar.
