#3208, Josef Winkler 22 LR Double Rifle, A 22 Long Rifle Boxlock Ejector Imported & Marked for Abercrombie & Fitch Co., Made in 1970, 24" Bohler Antinit Ejector Chopper Lump Barrels with a rib extension and a crossbolt, Full length rib, 1 standing rear sight, Best Quality and Top of the Line Boxlock Action Body, Double underlugs with double bite, Bolstered frame, Bushed strikers, Double triggers with the front trigger articulated (You won't bust your finger with a quick Right & Left), Scalloped action body, Auto Safety, 8 Locking screws on key screws, A very slight beavertail forend with a Deeley & Edge release, A straight hand stock at 15 1/4" lop over a full face checkered butt, Adult game weight at 7 lbs. 4 oz., Nice wood with good color and contrast, 98% coverage of very well-cut scroll and oak leaf engraving, The original barrel blue at 98%, The original receiver gray at 97%, The original wood finish at 95%, The checkering at 99%, The bores are as new and remain at 100%. Abercrombie & Fitch's logo is stamped on the receiver flats and the barrel flats with their full name on the barrel rib, this is one neat little rifle with a proper size frame. I have handled about 1700 double rifles, not counting repairs, in all these years and this is flat out one double I can assure you will not come off the face or shoot loose. It has all the features of a 470 Nitro with chopper lump, crossbolt, bolstered frame, scalloped action body, bushed strikers and a hinged front trigger. This is a very well put together gun with excellent workmanship and with no apologies relative mechanics and condition. This is fun stuff for serious plinking and will shoot 2" groups at 50 yards with any kind of 22 ammo you stick in it.
