CIVIL WAR ERA RICHMOND, VIRGINIA 12 GA. PERCUSSION DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN SIGNED T.W. TIGNOR CA. 1850’S-60’S. 48” o/a with 32” barrels signed on rib “T.W. TIGNOR RICHMOND, VA.”. 100% original and excellent condition. Engraved locks signed “T.W. TIGNOR”. . Engraved steel mounts and percussion cap compartment in belly of butt stock. Fine walnut stock with checkered wrist and forend. Silver oval inlay at wrist. Excellent condition overall with nice crisp patina and no pitting on the metal and the original finish on the stock. Locks in perfect working order and excellent bores. Original wood ramrod. Many shotguns like this were carried by Confederate Partisan Rangers during the Civil War.
