Description:
For sale is a great Franz Sodia Ferlach Combination Gun in 16GA Over and 7X57R Under. The gun features a boxlock action with beautifully and fully engraved sideplates, 25 ½” barrels, single folding rear sight, front sight, right handed cheek piece, automatic safety, horn triggerguard, horn gripcap, and stock and barrel mounted sling swivels. The gun includes a German Zeiss DIAVARI-Z 2.5-10X52 Scope with claw mounts. The bores are in excellent condition. The rifle trigger is the front push forward type set trigger, and the shotgun trigger is the rear trigger. All serial numbers are matching. There are proof markings and an import marking present on the barrel as well. The checkering is thinned throughout the stock and smoothened on the forend. The barrel bluing finish is approximately 70% overall with fading and minor speckling (only to finish, no pitting) present throughout. The wood has some fading of varnish, some scratches, and small dents throughout, but remains approximately in 80% - 85% condition overall. The engraving is of two deer running through a forest on the right side, two elk or stags on the left side, and two ducks flying on the underside. Mechanically excellent.
