Colt Single Action Army .44 WCF caliber revolver with 7 1/2 inch barrel marked COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER. The accompanying Colt letter indicate this SA left the factory as a .44-40, Blued with a
4 3/4" barrel. This Colt now has 95% vintage nickle plating done after leaving the factory the first time. The cylinder show nickle over old pitting. All other parts have smooth surfaces with old nickle. When this Colt was nickled it was done right. Bore is very bright and clean with sharp rifling. Action is crisp and locks up tight and times perfectly. The vintage one piece IVORY grips show some light age checking, but are totally stable and fit perfectly. All marking are strong and clear. This is a nice per-war Colt and rates very good overall. All screws show clean slots. All numbers match. The Colt letter is included.
