Description:
Miroku, over-and-under 12 gauge shotgun, with extractors. The barrels are 30-inches with 2 ¾ inch chambers. The upper barrel is full choke, while lower is modified choke. Top barrel has ventilated rib with muzzle and mid-barrel beads. Top barrel is labeled on the right side with “MIROKU FIREARMS MFG. CO., KOCHI, JAPAN” and on the right side with “12 GA – 2 ¾ “” Bores are in excellent condition. The finish on metal and wood is all original. Barrels are 95+ percent, with a few minor marks and tiny dings, mostly beneath the forearm. There is a 3/4-square-inch rub on the belly of the bottom barrel about a foot back from the muzzle. There are two long rub marks where the top of the forearm contacts the bottom barrel on both sides, but again the marks are beneath the forearm. The lockbox is 98+ percent and is engraved with no marks, except a little around the safety slide. The trigger guard is in similar condition, except a little rub rubbed bluing on the tail. See photos. The lockbox is 98+ percent and is engraved with a decorative pattern on both side, the top, and bottom. On the bottom, the engraving is around “B. C. MIROKU”. The forearm is excellent condition with no sign of wear and no mars or scratches. There are a few small dents in the wood on the right side of the forearm, but the finish is not penetrated and still shines. The stock is in very good condition with small dents visible only at an angle in the light. None penetrate the finish, except in one 1/8 square-inch area on the left side of the gun above the front of the trigger guard and a 1/4-inch area on the left side of the stock near the belly and about 3 inches from the toe of the stock. Actually, it blends with the stock, and it is easy to miss. The checkering on the grip and forearm is deep and fine with no damage. The orange rubber recoil pad is original equipment and labeled “B. C. MIROKU”. The screw holes in the rubber are open. Serial numbers all match – barrel flats, forearm, trigger guard, etc. LOP is 14 ¼ inches. The drop at comb and the heel are both 1 ½ inches.
