Description:
Fox BE 16 Gauge Side-by-Side
28” KRUPP #4 WT. BARRELS, CUSTOM UPGRADED ENGRAVING, BEAVERTAIL, NICE!

General Specs: Fox, Year 1913, 16 Gauge, 6lbs 7oz, SxS
Serial Number: 300122

Most double-gunners reading this ad are aware that Ansley H. Fox hit a home run when he released his small bore Fox guns in 20ga. and 16ga. in 1912.  Building both guns on the 20ga. frame, he came up with the finest 16 bore made in America when looking at weight and balance, and simplicity of the action and its mechanisms.  This gun began life in 1913 as a BE engraved gun.  Somewhere along the line the owner decided to upgrade the gun with beautiful scroll engraving, covering about 75% of the frame with nicely executed English style scroll.  The barrels have a 3” wedge of matching scroll as well.  The stock was replaced with nicely figured walnut fit to perfection, including a nice beavertail forend.  The 28” Krupp steel barrels are #4 weight, Fox’s lightest barrels, choke F/F from the factory.  We can alter chokes to your choosing within 10 days of purchase.  Other than a few light handling marks in the wood, the gun is like new inside and out, with 99% barrel blue, 100% case color, and really nice stock dimensions.  Custom embellished Fox 16 gauge guns with these desirable features often sell for well over $10,000.  We have priced this gun to sell, and if you examine the features and condition of the gun you will recognize the bargain that this gun represents.  If you buy the gun before Christmas we will open the chokes as part of the purchase price, so look the photos and specifications over and give us a call.  Thanks for looking!
