This pistol appears to either have been an over-seas wartime rework Luger that had been modified when it was brough to America, or a state-side built parts gun.The value here is in the proof marks. The receiver is stamped with the 135 Mauser proofmark, as well as the Eagle and Swastika acceptance mark.The serial is a 4 digit serial with a "W" Mauser banner implying that would imply a 1939 production date, and military use. The chamber stamp is "42" which would place it between 1939 and 1942.Toggle has been stamped with the Military acceptance mark, as well as a commercial DWM stamp so this pistol was definitely a Mauser rework.it is P.08 stamped.There are about 4 different serials associated with this gun, so as stated before, it is either a Mauser rework, or an American parts gun, either way the value is in the proof marks.
