Description:
To be specific, this is a Remington Rolling Block long range Creedmore target rifle. 34-1/2" oct and round bbl. The barrel is marked 44 S cartridge which is the 44-77, a 2 1/4" bottleneck cartridge.. What is really unique about this Remington along with it's beautiful condition is that underneath the bbl it is stamped twice with L.L. Hepburn. As Remington people would know, Lewis Hepburn was superintendent at the Remington factory and was also a member of the American Creedmore International Shooting Team. Other markings on the gun are MCL stamped on both sides of the stock. A very fine condition gun with nearly all bbl blue remaining. Some light wear and very light aging to the metal. Case colored frame exhibits most case colors that are dimming somewhat. Wood is VG overall. Buttstock is strange in the fact that it is rather unconventional. A VG+ bore and action. A very special Rolling Block!
