Description:
During the 60's and 70's in Hollywood there was a stuntman by the name of Johnny Thunder. His real name was Gary Crawford. Originally from Michigan Johnny headed West and landed in Hollywood where he became a movie and television stuntman. Johnny worked on over 800 films and tv shows, performing on shows like The Rifleman, Bonanza and movies like The Outlaw Josie Wales. He was a stand in for some of the greats like Chuck Connors, John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. He was also an accomplished leather maker, making holsters and belts for these guys as well.
After the cowboy craze began to die off and Johnny came back from making spaghetti westerns in Italy with Eastwood, he toured, doing shooting exhibitions and re-creations of some of his most famous movies and tv shows. What we have is a personal carry case of Johnny Thunders, including some of his personal photos of John Wayne (his friend and hero). Also included is some Hollywood blanks and silver bullets (shows up better than lead on film), a prop gun, some local information about him and HIS EXHIBITION REVOLVER!!!! There is also a cue card from one of his shows with notes on it too there is even a copy of his death certificate!
This set is one of a kind, really should be in a museum somewhere. We have it on display at The Vault Guns and Ammunition and is for sale. The price is $5500 (a REASONABLE offer would be considered)
