Colt Deluxe Lightning Rifle. Extremely rare deluxe Colt Lightning rifle made in 1897. Small frame deluxe gun with case hardened frame. This gun is in very fine condition with 95% of the original blue. Bright case colors remain on the frame. Wood is very fine with good sharp checkering. Bore has strong rifling with spots of light pitting. Overall a 7 out of 10 on the bore. Deluxe Lightning rifles are very rare guns. Having a case hardened deluxe gun is very rare especially in very fine condition. This gun comes with a factory letter confirming all features. It was shipped to Montgomery Ward in Chicago, II.
