Description:
This French pinfire single barrel spring-blade pistol with stag grips was made by Marti around 1880. With a 3.5 inch blade, this .28 caliber firearm also doubled as a burglar alarm. The gimlet trigger would screw into the door frame of a hotel room. When the pistol was cocked and swiveled over the closed door, it was in position as an alarm gun. If the door was jimmied and pushed open, the pistol would fire, scaring off the crook and waking up the occupant.
