*** SOLD *** A really nice Henry Atkin, number 1221, sidelock ejector recently refurbished by the maker. Made circa 1900 with extensive sharp engraving. Number 3 of a trio. Nicely figured buttstock and splinter forearm with crisp checkering. Cased in a new fitted leather case with maker’s label and accessories including a mahogany cleaning rod, cleaning kit, maker’s snap caps and maker’s oil bottle. Also comes with an outer cordura cover to protect the leather. The bottom of the frame is inscribed “Henry Atkin From “Purdey’s”. Overall weight is 7lb even. *** The 30” sleeved barrels are chambered for 2-1/2” shotshells and topped by the original solid concave game style rib. The rib is inscribed “Henry Atkin (From Purdey’s) 2 Jermyn Street . London”. The left barrel is bored 0.732 with a constriction of 0.022 for Modified choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.032. The right barrel is bored 0.733 and has a constriction of 0.008 for Improved Cylinder choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.034. A good sturdy double for game or clays. *** The straight hand stock and splinter forearm are made from nicely figured walnut and are cast off for the righthanded shot. Stock dimensions are 15-1/4” over a 1” brown leather pad by 1-3/8” by 2”. *** Henry Atkin was known for making high quality and beautiful guns especially pigeon guns. This gun is in great shape, cased, and at a terrific price. Life is short. Write the check. *** I am an FFL and will need a signed copy of your dealer’s FFL license.
