Description:
Winchester Model 1894 Standard Rifle fitted with a 26 inch full octagon barrel, full length tube magazine, steel crescent butt-plate, lyman tang sight, factory checkered stock and forearm, and is chambered in .38-55. This is a 50% gun with even thinning of its blue finish overall and the frame turning a mostly grey patina. The bore is shootable, with sharp rifling, but is somewhat rough. The stock and forearm fit well but have been lightly sanded and a refinished. All screw-heads are mostly un-molested. The Lyman front sight is missing either its brass or ivory bead and the rear sight has been replaced with a later version. The tang sight is clean and operates perfrectly. Comes with a Cody Firearms Record Office e-mail verifying the caliber, barrel type, checkered stock and forearm, Lyman front and rear sights, and that it was shipped out of the warehouse on December 20, 1895.
