Description:
Civil War production Colt 1860 Army .44 Caliber 6 shot percussion revolver serial number 19XXX, manufactured 1861. Features 4 screw frame cut for shoulder stock with 8” barrel, blue finish, brass triggerguard & Iron backstrap one piece cartouched walnut grips. In fine condition being refinished, retaining 96% blue refinish with faint traces of cylinder scene remaining. Triggerguard carries excellent splotchy patina. The walnut grips have been later varnished with faint cartouche showing on left side. The wedge & front sight blade are later replacements. Good action & bore is fair. A nice early Civil War Colt that would make a fine addition to any collection.
