Description: Serial #2093s, 9mm Para., 4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is an undated, commercial pistol with added sear safety that has matching numbers on all of the component parts (the firing pin and hold-open are not numbered, which is correct for a commercial gun), and retains 90-92% of the armory blue finish applied during the rework. There is some mild silvering at the muzzle as well as along the high edges and projections, along with additional gray fading on the sideplate and on the grip straps. All markings are still crisp, the edges are still sharp, and there is a small and unobtrusive import stamp on the underside of the barrel. The smaller parts retain about 75-80% of the original straw color, mostly on the right side of the pistol. The checkered wooden grips are unnumbered on the interior and have only minor handling marks and flattening of the points on either side. The pistol is housed in a Polizei marked, 1935 dated holster (numbered 542 on the back) and is accompanied by two Haenel magazines: both have “(eagle)C" police markings, and one is numbered to the gun; as well as a proper takedown tool in the flap pocket. This is an excellent example of a pre-war Luger police rework and would make a great addition to any collection.
