Description:
Parker Bros. 12 gauge DH grade built in 1898.This gun is in remarkable all original condition retaining at least 50%of the original case colors,99% of the damascus pattern,and 95% of the original wood finish.The gun is unusual for its time in that it has 28" fine damascus barrels choked improved cylinder (.010") and modified (.025").The bores are mint and free of any dents or rust.The walls average .35" so the gun is very safe to shoot.The stock is a capped pistol grip with the original skeleton buttplate.The wood is very sound and has no cracks or damage other than a few light handling marks.The stock dimensions are unusual for the time.It has a 14" LOP,15/8" at comb,and 2" at heel.This matches the factory letter to a T.The gun is built on a #2 frame and weighs 7-8,which also matches the factory letter.All screws are in time and clean.It appears that this gun has never had a screwdriver on it.The engraving is the standard DH pattern but is finely executed.This gun is an all original Parker in amazing condition for a 119 year old gun.Classified as an antique so it can be shipped direct if needed.
