CHARLES LANCASTER, LONDON PERCUSSION .65 CAL. MOUNTED OFFICER’S HOLSTER PISTOL CIRCA 1860. 15” o/a with 9” round flat top barrel addressed “CHARLES LANCASTER 151 NEW BOND ST. LONDON” Engraved steel mounts and locks with lock plates engraved “C. LANCASTER”. Checkered full walnut stock with engraved steel butt cap and horn forend cap. Cavalry style steel ramrods with stirrup retainers. Classic carbine bore pistols suited for the use of mounted officer’s-particularly those going out for service in India in the years immediately following the Great Mutiny. Serial numbered under the barrel in the 32xx range for 1860. Very good overall as re-blued. Stock refinished and checkering freshened. Small chip out of lip of hammer. Perfect working order and excellent bore.
