RELIEF CARVED WINCHESTER MODEL 1887 WITH 1901 "01" BARREL 10GA. LEVER ACTION REPEATING SHOTGUN. Serial number "50XXX". Traces of original brilliant blue showing thru plum patina. 30" smokeless proofed(circle P) barrel with would suggest rebarreled at factory for smokeless powder as the 1887's were for black powder. Barrel stamped "full" yet opened up to cylinder and orange transluscent bead added. Needs mag spring(follower present). Nicely relief carved stock and forend. Period Hawkins red rubber vent pad with 13 1/4" LOP. Interesting Americana theme to it. Would make an interesting cowboy action piece ready for modern ammunition. 3" chamber.
