The is gun is from the very first batch of guns produced after the Nazis took over the factory in 1941 and issued to the Luftwaffe. It would very difficult to find and earlier gun especially in this fine condition. It retains, conservatively about 96-97% of the original high polish factory blue. There is the usual muzzle and sharp edge silvering and a couple of very tiny spots of surface flaking under the front of the slide. That's it. There are no pits, rust spots, or rub marks anywhere.
The grip straps have not grayed at all. Indication that the finish loss is due to holster wear. l numbers match, the barrel, slide and frame. The left side of the trigger bow has an Eagle/56 Inspectors mark.
The striated wooden grips have about 100% of the original factory Lacquer. They are flawless and appear factory new. The grip screw is not marred in any way. The interior of the slide, slide rails, bolt face and feed ramp show little if any use.
The barrel is pristine. The bore, mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. There is not a hint of frost anywhere. The gun comes with one original magazine. The gun's serial #321 is in the very first Nazi production run and was a Holster Queen for some Luftwaffe pilot. That you can be sure off. A collector's prize.....$895.
