Price just reduced 12/23 to $4,250! Reno shotguns came from Eibar Spain, home of the Spanish gun trade, and were made by Jose Uriguen and imported into the US in the 60s/70s.
This is a VERY high quality gun and here are some of the features:
- A true sidelock action with Holland&Holland style hand detachable locks with beautiful case coloring and tasteful gold accents.
- A beautiful piece of Turkish Walnut (round knob POW grip) with only a few small handling marks.
- Barrels have sideclips and are engraved at the breach. Self opening action!
- This gun has so many features usually found on "Best" guns including: jewelled barrel flats, gold pins, gold double triggers, cocking indicators, hand filed flat rib, horn butt plate. If this were an Arrizabalaga it would be 3 times the price of this gun!!
I see very little evidence that this gun has ever been used or fired. A rare chance to find a high quality Spanish 'best' style gun at this price.
This firearm is from the Oliver-Brice collection. The principal owned a private equity investment firm in Switzerland which allowed him to travel extensively in the UK and Europe. His passion was finding and researching high quality/investment grade British and European double shotguns. His collection is extensive and includes a number of unique firearms like this one. The owner would consider a trade of a fine/collector watch as he is a collector of those as well.
