Description:
This is a Rock Island Arsenal Model 1903 Springfield bolt action chambered in 30-06. The 24" blued barrel is fitted with the original military sights. The Walnut stock has scattered dents scratches and military wear, the biggest dents on the butt stock are on the right and left side and some on the forend near the receiver. The grip guard is in good condition, without cracks. Stamped on the butt stock behind the rear of the trigger guard and above the trigger assembly are the inspector's cartouches. The bore has seen much use and is in fair condition. There is some pitting on the muzzle end of the barrel and also on the front band that is fitted with a bayonet lug. Comes with two sling swivels and one stacking swivel. The steel butt plate has an empty hinged compartment for a cleaning kit. Length of pull is 12-3/4 ", Overall length is 43", Weight is 9.6 Lbs.
