Offered for sale is this John Shuler Liverpool Perry County Pennsylvania Rifle / Smoothe Bore swivel breech. Henry Parker warranted lock. 33" bbl's rifled bbl is approx .50" and the smoothe bore is approx .75". Double trigger set with brass trim and keyhole patch box with push button release. Some engraving and inlay. Good and proper barrel mark. See photo of slight butt stock damage. Overall a fine example of this important gun smithing family.
The shuler family worked predominantly in Liverpool Perry County Penna. with the Pennsylvania canal system on the Susquehanna river running directly along the edge of the town their work was well known and traveled.
