Description:
This is marked Whitney Kennedy Mf’d By Whitney Arms Co. The 20” barrel is very good with strong rifling. The mechanical function is very good and tight. This is a 12 shot 44-40 with a compartment in the butt for a cleaning rod. The receiver retains 40% blue and the barrel, magazine tube 60%. The Wood is very good, solid and not damaged. The rear leaf sight appears to be newer than the rest of the carbine. The serial number appears to be B48. The front fore stock is 9 1/16” long. Most of the production of these 12 carbines went to South and Central America.
