WWII Nazi German Proofed NCO Saber by EICKHORN
With Matching Numbers and Waffenamts
Here we present a Nazi German WWII-era Non-Commissioned Officer’s Saber, made circa 1940 by Carl Eickhorn in Soligen, Germany. This saber features matching numbers “C.E./G./7950” on both the guard and the scabbard. Small waffenamts numbered “118” can be found on the hilt and the scabbard. The ricasso is marked with the maker’s double oval around a squirrel that reads “CARL EICKHORN SOLINGEN”. Also marked “1”. The leather finger strap remains, along with the remains of the portapee. Blade is 34 inches.
The overall condition is fine. The brass hilt has a nice patina. The markings are clear and legible. The blade is in fine condition and clean. Original washer. The scabbard is plated. The grip and wire wrap are in fantastic condition. Here is a fabulous German NCO saber from the Second World War!
