WWII Nazi German Proofed WK&C Sword
World War II Sword Marked WaA253
Here we present a German Proofed NCO Sword, made circa 1940 by Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co. of Solingen, Germany. The blade is 30-3/4 inches long with a double fuller. The brass hilt is marked with waffenamts in several places which are “Eagle/WaA253”. The guard is marked “C.E./38” with the number “1848”. The ricasso is marked “W.K.&C.” for Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co. It is trademarked with a king’s head and a knight’s head.
The overall condition is very good. The brass is dark with age. The markings are clear and legible. The black celluloid grip is in fine shape, as is the original wire wrap. Original washer. Here is a very nice WWII sword for your collection!
