Description:
Antique Black Powder Colt SAA 44-40 7 1/2" made 1883. All matching numbers, frame, TG, BS, cylinder and barrel. Restored to new and engraved by Firearms Engravers Guild of America certified Master Engraver Mark Swanson. Many engravers use the term Master Engraver, but only a select few are certified by FEGA. The pictures do not do justice to the precise engraving. The markings are sharper than the pictures show. The blue and case hardening are bright, there is some oil glare in the pictures. The bore is bright with sharp distinct rifling, showing just light black powder wear. The action has all notches and they hold properly. Colt rosewood grips. In some of the closups there is a little fuzz on the gun from the gun case lining, wiped right off. This Colt is really as good as it gets, a work of art.
