Mechanically excellent, nearly perfect screws, great/bright bore, unaltered, some original finishes remaining, great inspector markes and grip cartouche, all on this revolver. 5000 of these were ordered under a US Ordnance contract but none were ever known to be actually issued. 7 1/2" barrel, .44 bp. at serial number 4785 this was on of the last to be made in the contract.
