Description: Extremely Rare Tompkins Varsity Model Single Shot Hinge Lock Pistol Limited production, number 91 out of only approximately 200 manufactured. Single shot, hinge lock pistol with blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, serrated trigger and hammer spur, and one piece full length stock with black plastic grip cap. Marked "A.H.TOMPKINS / SPRINGFIELD / MASS.,U.S.A." on the top of the chamber, "PATENT APPLD FOR / MFG. NO. 91." on the left side and "MF'D. AT / VARSITY MFG.CO." on the right. These pistols were manufactured through licensed production to Varsity Manufacturing Co. in Springfield Ma. Circa 1947-1953. These are extremely rare and especially in this condition. It is certainly one of the most unique target pistols ever made. The gun is in perfect mechanically condition and the gun remains in new condition overall. I offer a three day non firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly with the gun in a zipper sleeve and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
