Here's the "Holy Grail" of WWII U.S Military hand gun collecting.

The condition is really rather nice, retaining 85-87% of the original factory Du-Lite finish. The bulk of the loss is on the front grip strap. With the usual muzzle and sharp edge silvering. There are some small areas of light thinning and the usual rub marks from holster wear. Other than one or two small edge nicks there is no rust, pits or scratches anywhere..
All parts are correct for the gun. The hammer is the Colt type D with a wide beaver tail which is correct for the a Singer. The grip safety is later long type 1911-A1 type. The safety is also correct. The slide lock is the checkered type without the milling cut. Mainspring housing type 2 arched, fine checkered. Trigger, the short 1911-A1 type. Front sight is the Type B, straight, .058 width. Rear sight is type B flat top with rounded corners, "U" notched. The recoil spring guide is a correct Type B with blunt legs. The barrel has a "P" stamp and the correct Du-Lite finish. The frame has the 1911-A1 type cuts.

The feed ramp, slide rails and bolt face show very little use. The bore is sunshine bright with.just a hint of graying. The rifling israzor is sharp and crisp. The frame has the inspectors stamp "JKC". The top of the slide is stamped "P" and another "P" on the left side of the frame. .
The grip panels are the correct very dark Keyes Fiber no ring type and in perfect condition. The magazine is a proper pinned base without a manufacturer's stamp.
The gun is GUARANTEED to be 100% correct. Plus it is in great condition..
