Description:
COLT BISLEY SAA REVOLVER with factory letter.
Manufactured from c. 1894-1915, with a total production of only approximately 44,350 (not including an additional 976 in the Flattop Target model). Cal. 32 WCF (32-20), of which 13,291 were made.  Because production was not started until the mid-1890's, all Bisley's were of the improved steels and cylinder pins were held by the improved transverse spring latch.
This pistol, serial # 283839 has all matching numbers and is Cal. 32 WCF (32-20) and has a 5 1/2 barrel and blued finish.  The gun was shipped by Colt per the factory letter, on Sept. 27, 1906 to Sears, Roebuck and Co.
The pistol still has factory blue on the trigger guard, much of the barrel, the hammer, front sight, grip stock near the trigger and the cylinder.  There is an even, brown patina on the cylinder frame.  It has a smooth metal surface with a few nicks on the cylinder.  Good, shiny bore.  Pistol shows excellent care.  Grips are excellent with no cracks or imperfections.
Lockup is very tight in all hammer positions.  Mechanically 100%  All markings are distinct.  "T" marking on the left rear trigger guard.
This pistol has been in my gun safe for 45 years.
