Description:
Beautiful, and very early, deluxe engraved, Colt lightning revolver from the L.D. Nimschke shop, circa 1880. Excellent condition, exceptional, finely checkered deluxe rosewood grips, with the Nimschke trademark "conch shell" design on both sides of the frame. (see pics). Excellent mechanics in both single and double action, very good to excellent bore. As with the single action army series revolvers, Colt did not offer "soft" finish guns, for engraving outside of the factory, until early to mid 1882. A great example of an early, and very hard to find, New York engraved Colt 1877 revolver, from the famous L.D. Nimschke shop!! NO FFL required, unless the state you live in requires one for transfer, city of NY, NJ, etc...Please ask questions if desired. Shipping is $20.00, to the lower 48 states, which includes insurance.
